2008 Harvest Dinner

2008 GWCSA Harvest Dinner!
Saturday November 15th at 7:00 PM
Potluck dinner and silent auction to benefit Just Food

(Door donations are voluntary but not required.)

Location:
Harvest Dinner @ 235 Berry St.
# 347 422 0494: NO BUZZER. Call Paul & Natalie for entrance

We're excited to be hosting another Harvest Dinner event this year to celebrate our season of fantastic produce from Garden of Eve Farm, and we hope that many of you will be able to join us. It seems like only yesterday we were getting those beautiful little strawberries, and it's hard to believe that the 2008 season is coming to a close. As in previous years, CSA members Natalie and Paul will be hosting the dinner at their loft in Williamsburg, so let's give them major thanks for "donating" their home!

FOOD AND DRINK:
If you're planning to attend, please be prepared to bring at least 1 dish or bottle of wine for every 2 people who'll be attending. Last year we didn't have enough food to go around, so if you're coming, please just keep in mind how many people there will be in your group, and plan accordingly. Main course dishes, sides, salads, and desserts are all fantastic... we love your culinary creativity! If possible, please email us to let us know what you'll be bringing, so we can have a general idea of what we'll have.

SILENT AUCTION:
We use this dinner to celebrate, but also to raise funds for the fantastic organization Just Food, which is the organization that makes CSA's possible in New York. We wouldn't be here without their help, so we'd like to help them out with some donations. We know this is a hard time financially for many people, so this year we decided to make donations at the door voluntary. If you are able to give, the suggested donation is $5 per person. We will also be holding a silent auction to raise funds for Just Food, so we would love some member donations of goods or services! Think about what your skills are... babysitting, bike repair, personal trainer.... donations of services are always popular! And, if possible, please email williamsburgcsa@gmail.com to let us know if you are planning to make a silent auction donation, so we can have a general idea of what we'll have.
